Board Approval of Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Plan and Quarantine Banding
Board Approval of Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Plan and Quarantine Banding for Tulloch Reservoir - Update as of March 20, 2025
We are pleased to announce that on March 20, 2025, the Board officially adopted Resolution 2025-05, approving the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Program, including its policy and procedures. As part of this process, the Waiver, Release, and Indemnity Agreement has been revised to reflect the board's direction.
What This Means Moving Forward:
- As of April 16, 2025 - Tulloch Reservoir is now reopened under the new AIS prevention protocols.
- Banding will only occur at approved locations, listed below:
- Black Jack Bluff HOA
- Calypso Bay HOA
- Conner Estates HOA
- Copper Cove HOA
- Lake Tulloch Shores / Poker Flat HOA
- Peninsula Estates HOA
We appreciate the cooperation of these HOAs in supporting this critical prevention effort.
Please note:
While outreach was made to all local partners and private marinas, not all have opted to participate in the AIS Program. As a result, public access through non-participating marinas or businesses will not be permitted under the current program guidelines.
We encourage you to contact your marina or local access point directly if you have questions about their status in the program.
We are also working proactively to provide a vessel decontamination station option in the near future, offering an additional method to help boaters meet AIS compliance.
Thank you for helping protect Tulloch Reservoir from aquatic invasive species.
